Book Collecting Essay Contest Deadline (Public Program)
PRIZE: A $1,000 scholarship (Spring 2014) & two-year Friends of the OSU Library membership
This scholarship competition encourages students to think critically about relationships between and among books. The prize is also a unique opportunity to develop competitive personal essay writing and open-format interview skills.
Describe a book collection real or proposed. It may be defined and described according to any criteria from author and time period to geographic area and genre and so forth. Essays must demonstrate creativity with regards to the criteria that bind together the collection and demonstrate both unique insight and intelligence. Refer to the "How to Apply" box for details.
All current OSU undergraduate and graduate students in any
major are encouraged to apply. More information...
